There are four gas pressure proving systems for use in laboratories.
These are GPPS-L, GPPS-L-CO2,the GPPS-LE with electrical bench socket isolation and the GPPS-Ti that isolates both the bench electrics and the bench water supply.
The method of gas pressure proving on all our systems employs our patented technology to measure pressure differential across the solenoid valve.
This method stops nuisance drop outs. All four systems ensure no gas taps are open before gas is made available.
The VGPS-K range of commercial kitchen systems redefine gas proving and ventilation interlocking in the commercial kitchen.
True differential pressure proving, as patented by Medem UK and as used on all our proving systems stops nuisance tripping. Only Medem systems offer this feature which is especially important in a commercial kitchen.
The VGPS-K-CO2 monitors Carbon dioxide so ensuring adequate ventilation at all times and on the Medem system guidance is given to kitchen staff on the LCD screen regarding ventialtion settings of any fitted speed controllers. See the latest standards section to download information relating to legislation and HSE documentation for download.
These systems are very easy to use as they advise the kitchen staff what to do via the LCD display. For example, if the ventilation is not switched on it tells the operator that the fans are off and to switch on the fans and restart the panel.
An engineer can display the gas pressure on both sides of the valve on the LCD screen for a gas tightness indication as well as a valve letby check. The Carbon dioxide level at the sensor heads can also be seen on the LCD on the VGPS-K-CO2.
There are currently three systems with carbon dioxide monitoring. The SACO2 which is either a stand alone monitor or can operate mechanical ventilation in relation to the carbon dioxide levels.
This system is designed for classroom use in educational buildings.
There is also the VGPS-K-CO2 designed for commercial kitchens and the GPPS-L-CO2 designed for laboratories.
The gas detection range consists of: AGDS-2 single or two channel system, AGDS-4 for up to four detectors, the AGDS-MC for up to 16 detectors and the APS-3 also for up to 16 with gas pressure proving. An AGDS-MC is also available as a non latching system for ventilation control.
The APS-3 can auto reset after a power cut which is useful in education buildings that are not staffed all year.
All gas detection panels for use in boiler houses and plantrooms can be connected to BMS and fire alarm systems.
The SACO2 is for use in education buildings to monitor carbon dioxide levels either as a stand alone unit or to control mechanical ventilation applications.
All systems use low voltage sensors that are designed to detect the presence of natural, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide or L.P.G. gas.
The APS-3 can monitor up to 16 detectors and has the gas pressure proving facility built in. This enables the boilers to restart after a power cut automatically so solving the problem of resetting on school sites when the building is unoccupied.
The Sip-1 service isolation panel can be used to isolate gas, electricity or water by controling solenoid valves or contactors.
We can design and build bespoke systems for individual projects including multiple isolation of water and gas in classrooms.
These include individual control of teaching benches from the teachers desk or preperation room.
