BB100 Design for fire safety in schools
Section 3, Detailed design guidance. Under 3.1.8 boiler houses. It is now stated that a boiler house attached to the main school building should be fitted with combustible gas and carbon monoxide detection. It also states that a pressure proving system can auto reset after a power cut so that the boilers can restart automatically. This is to prevent pipes freezing during unoccupied periods as well as minimising school closures because the building has cooled down The APS-3 panel has been designed to give a single panel solution to enable compliance with this design standard.
